Roll with the Punches is the 37th studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison.[4] The album was released on 22 September 2017 by Caroline Records.[5][6]

Background and launch

The album features five original songs and ten covers.[7][8]

To coincide with the release of the album, Morrison was the subject of a rare interview with Paul Jones, which was broadcast on Jones' BBC Radio 2 show, on 25 September 2017. Jones is a guest musician on the record.[9]

Morrison received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting from Emmylou Harris at the 2017 Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony and performed "Transformation".
