Overview
The districts that make up the borough are Akalla, Husby, Kista, and Rinkeby.[1] The population of Rinkeby-Kista borough is 48,604 as of December 2015.[2]
The borough was formed on January 1, 2007 when Kista borough and Rinkeby borough were merged.
Rinkeby-Kista has, in recent years, become a centre of multiculturalism. Many immigrants or "newcomers" as Sweden refers to them, consider this their home, and a great deal of media coverage has labelled this a "no-go zone". [3]
