Early life

Cue was born in Orange County, California and moved to Los Angeles after his parents divorced when he was 4 years old. He went to many different schools because he moved around from place to place and never showed up to school. He would drop out after going to 25 schools after his sophomore year. When he was 15 he broke his neck, leaving him mostly paralyzed from the neck down although he was still able to walk (with a walker), he mostly remained handicapped for life.[6][7]

Pyrrhus and L.A. Guns

Cue attended Fairfax High in Los Angeles where he became friends with Robbie Gardner, Mike Jagosz, Tracy Ulrich and Dani Tull.[8] A short time later the trio asked Cue to be their manager for the newly formed L.A. Guns, this time with Ole Beich on bass. While the band wanted to put out new material, Cue would establish his own record label known as Raz Records for the EP Collector's Edition No. 1. A short time after the recording, Jagosz was arrested and sent to jail for 2 weeks while being replaced by Hollywood Rose signer William Bailey.[9][10] At this time Cue liked the idea of having them together as a band.

Guns N’ Roses

In March 1985, Ulrich and Bailey (now being known as Tracii Guns and Axl Rose) put together Guns N’ Roses in his living room with Hollywood Rose Rhythm Guitarist Izzy Stradlin and L.A. Guns members Ole Beich and Rob Gardner. At the same time Cue who owned the L.A. Guns name collected the L.A. Guns assets, as the band began their first interview (with Duff McKagan replacing Beich). When Guns left GNR, Cue suggested Guns to (re)form a group with Paul Mars Black, Robert Stoddard, Mick Cripps and Nickey Alexander using the L.A. Guns moniker. Cue would eventually leave L.A. Guns after some point.[6][11]

Books

Cue has written 2 books the first one was released in 2010 which is called “Bud’s Love Bus”.[7] He released his second book on July 13, 2017 titled ”The Days of Guns, and Raz’s” which is about his early life, spinal injury and rehabilitation as well as his time with L.A. Guns and Guns N’ Roses while manager, his relationships with the band and his time after he left L.A. Guns.[6][11] Cue has a website where he released vintage photos of L.A. Guns, Pyrrhus and the original lineup of Guns N‘ Roses.[12]

gollark: At least to the degree of paying for itself.
gollark: I mean, it's kind of a business anyway.
