Raya Oromo people

The Raya Oromo people (also Rayyaa) are an Oromo subgroup inhabiting an area from the historic Wollo Province to Lake Ashenge Tigray Province in Ethiopia.[1]

The Raya Oromo speak an Oromo dialect. However, linguistic descriptions of the Raya and nearby Wollo Oromo areas are still lacking.[2]
