Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi III

Sheikh Râshid bin Ḥumaid Al-Nu`aimî (1902 - 6 September 1981)[1], Arabic: راشد بن حميد النعيمي, was the 9th Emîr (أمير) (Ruler) of Ajman and ruled the emirate from 1928 until 1981.[2] Throughout his extraordinary 53 years as Ruler, he worked to build Ajman. Moreover, he was one of the founders the United Arab Emirates, as he helped to build consensus and install Ajman at the heart of the Union.

He is the father of the current Ruler, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi III.

The ruling family belongs to the Al Nuaim tribe.

He established the Ajman Police in 1967.
