Production

It was Padmarajan who advised the producers to ask K. G. George to do this film. The shoot took about two weeks and the film was completed in around 90 days. The whole film was shot in and around Ernakulam and Fort Kochi.[1]

The screenplay written by Padmarajan was believed to be lost, till it was unearthed in 2006. Twelve 35mm prints were made and all the prints have been lost forever.[1]

Reception

The film opened to universal acclaim with numerous praises to George, Padmarajan and Vidhubala. Despite all the acclaim, the film failed at the box office.[1]

gollark: I'm going to see if I can integrate ABR into my graphing system too now.

gollark: Consider:- disassembling other humans into nutrients you need, as they're nearby and contain exactly the right nutrients to live- forcefeeding to the point of obesity or something- making plants/other animals unable to grow due to removing all their nutrients
gollark: Them going rogue isn't the problem. Them working exactly as designed is.
gollark: I can't see ANY way of that going wrong!
