It has three local marae:

  • Te Matai or Ngāti Kurī Marae and its Tapuika meeting house are affiliated with the Tapuika hapū of Ngāti Kurī
  • Te Paamu Marae and Tia meeting house are affiliated with the Tapuika hapū of Ngāti Marukukere
  • Tūhourangi Marae and Tūhourangi meeting house are affiliated with Tūhourangi[2][3]

Education

Rangiuru School is a co-educational state primary school for Year 1 to 8 students,[4] with a roll of 67 as of March 2020.[5]
