R. Bruce King

R. Bruce King is emeritus Regents Professor at the University of Georgia. He has contributed to many areas of organometallic chemistry, including synthesis, spectroscopy, and theory. He is the author and editor of several monographs and book series.[1]

Training and research interests

He received his Ph.D. in 1961 under the direction of F. Gordon A. Stone at Harvard for research on organocobalt and organoiron compounds.[3] He subsequently conducted studies on synthetic organometallic chemistry at DuPont and then at the Mellon Institute. His endeavors led to the first examples of diazonium complexes.[4] His contributions also include organophosphorus ligands.

Recognition

Among his accolades, King was recognized by the ACS Awards in Pure Chemistry (1971) and in Inorganic Chemistry (1991).

gollark: Unless you have other stuff on the machine which depends on apache being there, *somehow*.
gollark: Surely it's just `sudo [package manager] [install or whatever] nginx`, edit the configuration files, disable apache service, enable nginx service, that's it?
gollark: If you are *not* using LE, you probably should be.
gollark: I have no idea *what* kind of setup could somehow make it impossible to install nginx, but there are certbot plugins for it and Apache for LetsEncrypt automation, and caddy has it builtin.
gollark: Also, generally what you do is have the reverse proxy handle SSL (well, TLS) connections itself, and then forward it on to backends unencrypted (or possibly encrypted in some situations, I guess).
