Description

They are a middle-sized to large (wingspan 65–120 mm), light-brown hawk moth. The head is unusually large in subfamily Smerinthinae, with the back of the body long and cylindrical.

Life

These moths fly at night and do not visit flowers, and they do not particularly seek out light. In all cases, they lay their eggs in the plants of the family Boraginaceae.

gollark: Anyone know a good way to totally disable silverfish?
gollark: I don't think that would be better.
gollark: I guess it could be modified to stay on until 50% heat, but that would be mostly unhelpful except during very high but brief demand (which is why we have actual buffers) and also would be unsafe.
gollark: I don't know if the current control system could read the comparator as analog and stay turned on for longer, but it wouldn't help outside of weird circumstances.
gollark: We have stable power. It just can't scale to above 2.7kRF/t or whatever.
