Headquartered in New York City, Phreesia has approximately 400 employees across the United States and in Ottawa, Canada.

Phreesia was founded in January 2005 by CEO Chaim Indig and COO Evan Roberts.[1][2] Since its foundation, Michael Weintraub has served as Chairman of the company.[3] In 2008 Chaim Indig was appointed as President and CEO.[4]

Phreesia's main product, a tablet called PhreesiaPad, is deployed in waiting rooms to help patients check in.[5][6][7][8][9] In 2017 the company launched its app PhreesiaMobile which allows patients to begin with the check-in process at home.[2] Phreesia acquired Vital Score Health in 2018.[10] Since July 2019, the company has been listed on the NYSE.[11] In February 2020, following the COVID-19 outbreak, Phreesia launched a free new screening module for its clients.[12]

On 1 July 2020 Florida's Health First announced a strategic partnership with Phreesia to provide easier check-in for patients.[13]

Phreesia was named one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare among 150 US healthcare companies and organizations.[14]
