Fictional character biography

Photon is a member of a fictional alien race appearing in the Youngblood series of comics. He is a silver-and-blue-colored humanoid alien with a green flame coming from the top of his head, a trait shared by all members of his race. His race comes from a planet called Acura and are known as Acurans.

He was recruited as a member of the government-sponsored Youngblood team for their away team, a separate team specializing in missions away from home (and subsequent spin-off comic book).

Origin

Writer/artist Rob Liefeld attempted to pitch a new ongoing Teen Titans series to DC Comics; when plans fell through the idea was recycled into Youngblood. The character of Photon was originally, along with fellow Youngblood member Combat, to be a part of the Khunds, an alien race seen in the Legion of Super-Heroes, but eventually became Photon.

Present

The character did not appear as part of the main team in the 2008 Youngblood relaunch from Joe Casey and Image Comics.[2]

gollark: Yes, but I have aiohttp.
gollark: Oh no, why is Discord.py trying to compile its own AIOHTTP now?
gollark: Ah, so the problem is just that I forgot to push Reminding 2™.
