Penina Davidson

Penina Davidson (born 2 September 1995) is a professional basketball player who plays for New Zealand and Melbourne Boomers in the Women's National Basketball League.[1] Davidson began playing basketball at age 8,[2] and won a scholarship to play basketball at the University of California, Berkeley.[3] Davidson has played for the Tall Ferns at all junior age groups, and is a regular at senior level.[3] Davidson has been open about her battles with bipolar disorder, and its affects on her playing, including periods of self-harming.[4][2] She was hospitalized and after her diagnosis she has said that life became much easier.
