Payman Mohajer

Payman Mohajer is a current member of the Universal House of Justice, the supreme governing institution of the Baháʼí Faith. He and Paul Lample were both elected during a by-election in 2005 to fill the vacancies created by the retirement of Ian Semple and Douglas Martin.[1]

Background

A statement from the Baháʼí World News Service after the by-election in 2005 included the following biographical statement about Payman Mohajer:

Dr. Mohajer was born in Tehran, Iran, where he received his elementary school education. He then went with his family to India where he received a degree in homoeopathic medicine in 1984. After several years' work in his medical clinic, Dr. Mohajer completed a master's degree in psychology.

In 1996, his interest in the field of education led him to establish a Baha'i-inspired institution, the Foundation for the Advancement of Science.

He was appointed as an Auxiliary Board member in 1986, serving until he was appointed to the Continental Board of Counsellors in Asia in 1991. He was called to serve as a member of the International Teaching Centre in 1998 and was reappointed in 2003.[1]

gollark: Unless it had good macros.
gollark: I personally think that while less complexity is good, switching to sugarless lisp would be bad.
gollark: ```haskelltype PasteCapture a = Capture "username" Text :> Capture "pasteName" Text :> atype GetPasteAPI = PasteCapture (Get '[JSON] SanitizedPaste) :<|> "raw" :> PasteCapture (Get '[PlainText] Text)type RequiresAuth a = BasicAuth "pastecan" (Entity User) :> atype UpdatePasteAPI = RequiresAuth ( PasteCapture (Delete '[PlainText] NoContent) :<|> PasteCapture (ReqBody '[JSON] SanitizedPaste :> Put '[PlainText] NoContent))type AccountsAPI = "account" :> ( ReqBody '[JSON] User :> Post '[JSON] Bool :<|> RequiresAuth (Delete '[JSON] NoContent))type API = UpdatePasteAPI :<|> GetPasteAPI :<|> AccountsAPI```I defined the API as types. It was nice.
