Personal life

He is the son of Ibrahim Abi-Ackel and Jacéa Cahú Abi-Ackel.[1] His father Ibrahim is also a politician, who has served in both the state and national legislature.[2] Before becoming a politician he worked as a lawyer.[1]

Political career

Abi-Ackel voted in favor of the impeachment of then-president Dilma Rousseff.[3] Abi-Ackel voted in favor of the 2017 Brazilian labor reform,[4] and would vote against a corruption investigation into Rousseff's successor Michel Temer.[5]

Abi-Ackel was one of Temer's strongest defenders from his party, drafting a proposal defending the then-president from corruption allegations.[2][6]

gollark: I'm not sure about reproducible (the build config for a project probably won't specify precise versions for all compilation stuff) but declarative, yes.
gollark: Basically, you specify all your configuration in a declarative purely-functional language, which is then translated into actual system config.
