Patchwork (Passenger album)

Patchwork is the eleventh studio album by English singer-songwriter Passenger. It was released on 10 July 2020 by Black Crow Records.[1] All profits from the album goes to The Trussell Trust, a registered an NGO and charity that works to end the need for food banks in the United Kingdom.

Background

Passenger wrote and recorded the album during 2020 coronavirus lockdown alongside producer Chris Vallejo and guest musicians Andrew Philip and Richard Brinklow. The album consists eight tracks includes 2018 single Lewis Capaldi's cover, Someone You Loved.[2] This record is told not to be sold on vinyls or CDs, instead it is only available at stream and digital download services and the sales will be proceeded to The Trussell Trust's food banks campaign. He stated that being lonely during to lockdown has made him devoted weeks to write new songs to establish this records, claiming that the album released in completely 'honest' and vulnerable place.[3] Passenger also mentioned that the album is dedicated to his newborn baby niece[4].
