In 1760, Medinipur district came under control of the East India Company, and the Bargis used Patashpur as a base for looting the Medinipur area. In 1803, Odisha, along with Patashpur, came under control of the British.[1]

gollark: Some online friends did vaguely express interest in running our IRC network over ham radio instead of boring IP networks. That might be neat.
