Description
The focus of Pasir Ris Town Park is a marine pond in which shelters and mature trees around it provide shade. Tropical, boulder arrangements, and beds of shrubs like bougainvillea and heliconia mark the park's landscape. All these create a tropical ambience that is most ideal for strolls or picnics.
The park's big open spaces are popular spots for cultural and social interaction among the residents, whilst the foot reflexology and fitness corners are favourites among the residents for morning exercises. Another facility in the park is the playground where children can enjoy many hours of fun and laughter. Concerts and other performances, cycling, and inline skating are available at this park.
An outlet called Jaas Recreations provides fishing and prawning, with a food and beverages section.
Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre
Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre opened on 25 January 2018, and is the second hawker centre in Singapore to be located within a park after East Coast Lagoon Food Centre. It is managed by NTUC Foodfare and features 42 hawker stalls and 770 seats. The hawker centre is styled as a place that mixes traditional hawker fare with hipster subculture.[2][4]
