Pan American Racquetball Championships

The Pan American Racquetball Championships are held annually in the spring with play ending on the day before Easter. Originally called the Tournament of the Americas, the Pan American Championships are hosted by the Pan American Racquetball Confederation.[1]

The 2019 Pan American Championships were held in Barranquilla, Colombia, April 12-20. The champions were Paola Longoria in Women's Singles and Carlos Keller of Bolivia in Men's Singles. Longoria also won Women's Doubles with her partner Samantha Salas. Keller's brother Roland Keller and Conrrado Moscoso won Men's Doubles.

The competition was not held in two years. In 1995, the Pan Am Games were held in the spring, so that year's Tournament of the Americas (as the competition was then known) was not held. In 2000, the competition was cancelled due to the civil unrest in Bolivia, which was to host the event.

gollark: And one of the jailbreaks for it (now outdated) could be triggered just by opening a page in the browser, worryingly.
gollark: The kindle I have seems to run (some form of) Linux, on which everything runs as root.
gollark: I have one of the actual e-ink kindles. They're quite cool, though horribly insecure.
gollark: Base 3 forever!
gollark: Get waterproof paper or something.
