History

In 1986, the California Acupuncture College (CAC) in San Diego closed, leaving many acupuncture students adrift, as it was the only acupuncture school in the city.[3] Joseph Lazzaro, Richard Gold, Ana de Vedia, and Alex Tiberi, all former administrators or faculty of the CAC, founded Pacific College to ensure that the stranded CAC students could complete their studies and take the California licensing exam. In 1988, Jack Miller, a graduate of the last 1986 class of the California Acupuncture College, was hired and made a full partner to aid in the college's drive towards accreditation.

gollark: Hmm. Well. I wouldn't be very happy with that mind editing *either*, and that wouldn't make me not bored if approximately-me were put in a box/walked round a bit/whatever without somewhat intellectually engaging activities.
gollark: If I took your mindstate and swapped out stuff like "likes helping people" and "likes some type of art" for "enjoys murdering people for fun" and "regularly abducts and tortures people" would that be "you"?
gollark: If my values were randomly remapped so I'd be a better pet, it wouldn't meaningfully be "me".
gollark: Same thing but just bored.
gollark: - it would work fine because ??? handwave and I'd be stuck in the constant barely-not-dying state of all wild animals for several years, probably incredibly bored and stressed at the same time, until I die of some wild animal thing.
