Background

After forming in January 2015, Movements self-released their first single, "Protection" on January 31, 2015.[4] The band played their first show opening for Have Mercy in March 2015.[5] A second single, "Buried" was released on March 17.[6] A third single, "Scripted" was released on April 14.[7] After only one local gig, the band signed a three-record deal with Fearless Records in August 2015.[8][9]

Before recording their first EP, guitarist Brett Chiodo left the band in January 2016.[10] Chiodo wrote the EP with the band, but did not participate in the recording.[11] He was replaced by guitarist Ira George.

The band chose producer Will Yip to work on their debut EP. Outgrown Things was released on March 11, 2016.[1] The EP was preceded by two singles, "Kept" and "Nineteen".[2][12]

gollark: You don't need full pathing. In most situations it'd probably just be raycasting to determine the best available direction.
gollark: That is HARDLY the problem.
gollark: What?
gollark: Yes.
gollark: There are several problems with what I have now: incorrect timings, meaning you sometimes dodge too late; the system not knowing your velocity due to the insane way MC handles this, making it impractical to determine what's going to hit you; the lack of any detection of obstacles meaning you could dodge into walls.
