History

The club was formed after a merger between Ossett Town, formed in 1936, and Ossett Albion (1944)[1][2]

Andy Welsh[3] was appointed as the club's first manager.

In late 2019, Ossett United was ordered to pay £135,000 after being successfully sued by a player who had suffered a broken ankle playing against Ossett Town in 2015.[4]

Wayne Benn was appointed manager[5] in November 2019.
