Open Invitation is the fifth studio album by American R&B recording artist and actor Tyrese, which was released on November 1, 2011, by his label Voltron Recordz and distributed by EMI. The album received a nomination for Best R&B Album at the 55th Grammy Awards, presented on February 10, 2013.

Commercial performance

The album debuted at number nine on the U.S. Billboard 200 with 76,000 copies sold in its first week of release making it Tyrese's highest charting album to date at that time.[2] In the second week the album sold 33,000 copies making total sales of 110,000 copies.[3] In its third week the album sold 21,100 copies, bringing the total to 130,700 copies.[4] The album has sold 375,000 copies in the US as of June 2015.[5]

Singles

The album's lead single was "Stay". It was released in the United States for digital download on August 16, 2011.[6] It peaked on the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at number eleven.[7] "Too Easy", which features Ludacris, was released as the second single on August 30, 2011.[8] The music video was released on October 12, 2011. The third single "Nothing On You" peaked on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #61.[9]

gollark: Really? I've seen a bunch of random Linux programs written in C.
gollark: I agree that writing everything in intensely horrific JS is bad. I just don't think that much application software which is currently written in C would become worse if written in something safer and higher level.
gollark: I'm quite confident that the majority of user-facing ~~ones~~ computer systems have most of the development effort invested in random applications software which doesn't need to be hyperoptimized.
gollark: The top end grows, but most applications actually aren't that.
gollark: Computers are ridiculously powerful and more than capable of running most general purpose things anyone cares about very fast, if those things are sanely implemented. We know this because they can continue sort of usably working despite JS and such.
