Olivier Desmarais
Olivier Desmarais is a Canadian businessman. He is the son of André Desmarais and the grandson of Paul Desmarais and former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien.

Biography
Desmarais was educated at Selwyn House School[1] for primary and secondary school[2] and holds a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science from McGill University.[3]
A member of the Québec Bar since 2009, Desmarais became Vice-President of Power Corporation of Canada and Power Financial in 2014 and Senior Vice-President of Power Corporation and Power Financial in 2017. Since January 2017, he has been Senior Vice-President of Power Corporation and Power Financial.[4][5][6] Through his current role, Mr. Desmarais is highly involved with Power Energy Corporation[7][8], which has interests in:
- Potentia Renewables;
- Nautilus Solar;
- Lumenpulse;
- The Lion Electric Co.
Olivier Desmarais and his cousin Paul Desmarais III have occupied key positions within the senior management team of Power Corporation in the last years.[9][10]
Board memberships
He is a Director of Canada Life, IG Wealth Management and Mackenzie.[11] He has been Chairman of Power Energy Corporation since 2015 and is a director of Lumenpulse.
Professional memberships
In November 2018, Desmarais was named Chair of the Canada-China Business Council (CCBC).[12].
Philanthropy
He is a board member of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation,[13] and the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research.[14]
Olivier is a member of the Voltigeurs de Québec.[15]
