Oligosoma

Oligosoma is a genus of small to medium-sized skinks (family Scincidae) found only in New Zealand as well as Norfolk and Lord Howe islands. Oligosoma had previously been found to belong to the Eugongylus group of genera in the subfamily Lygosominae; the Australian genus Bassiana appears to be fairly closely related.[1]

Merging Oligosoma and Cyclodina

A molecular phylogenetic analysis[3] has merged the old genus Cyclodina with Oligosoma, rendering Cyclodina an obsolete taxon.

gollark: You're saying the same thing with slightly different wording.
gollark: Suuuure.
gollark: I suppose I can go harvest some questions on limits from the internet, but I think the more important side of this is being able to do proofs and such related to it, which I know very little about.
gollark: I doubt this. Some offense.
gollark: I... don't think so.
