Career

He is a graduate of the Blockchain Strategy Program at the University of Oxford.[4][5] He lectures on banking and digital finance at the Kraków University of Economics,[6] and at the FinTech Studies of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw.[7][8]

Grupa Warszawa

In 2008, at age 22, Redkie founded the Grupa Warszawa, with the intention of “creating a kiosk with vodka and culture”.[1][9] After winning a call for bids, the company opened a café-bar in an inactive modernist ticket-office building of the suburban railway station Warszawa Powiśle, leased from the Polish State Railways.[10][11] The bar has become one of the most popular venues in Warsaw.[12][13] In 2013, Gazeta Wyborcza hailed the Warszawa Powiśle as one of the “10 Pubs That Changed Warsaw.”[14]

Following the opening of the Warszawa Powiśle, Grupa Warszawa's operations turned into a regular catering company.[9] In 2009, Redkie was joined by Bartłomiej Kraciuk, and in 2012, by Hubert Karsz with whom the company opened a live music cocktail bar Syreni Śpiew [Mermaid Singing], between 2010–2016, located in a renovated pavilion of the former communist-party-owned hotel restaurant,[15][16] and from September 2019, at the complex Praga Koneser Center.[17]

The following initiatives of Redkie, Kraciuk, and Karsz have included: the patisserie Lody na Patyku (which operated during 2012-2013),[18] the cocktail bar Weles (from 2015),[19] the bistro Zorza (2015-2019),[20] the restaurant Biała – Zjedz i wypij (from 2016),[21] the cafe Moderna (2012-2014),[11][22] the restaurant Fokim[23] (later as Granda!, 2016-2019), and the bar Ruszt (from 2017).[24] Between 2013–2015, it ran a seasonal culture pavilion Stacja Mercedes.[25] Within the Grupa Warszawa, Redkie also runs the art foundation Fundacja Więcej Sztuki,[26] and the convention center Szarotka.[27]

Film production

As part of the Grupa Warszawa, Redkie and Kraciuk, together with producer Agnieszka Kurzydło founded the feature-film production studio Mental Disorder 4.[3][28][29] The studio's credits include Baby Blues (2012), In the Name of... (2013), Kebab and Horoscope (2014), The Red Spider (2015), The Test (2015), 16.03 (2016), Fugue (2018), and Via Carpatia (2018), as well as international co-productions, including The Red Captain (2016).

Technological projects

After launching the online shopping tool Xerch in 2011,[30] Redkie became a co-founder of the mobile game company Swapp, which opened in 2013.[31]

In 2016, Redkie launched Trust Holding AG, registered in Baar, Switzerland,[32][33] to create a Blockchain-based trading platform Trust, for managing operations of gastronomic companies.[2][34]
