No1 (Nikolija album)
Number One (stylized as №1) is the debut studio album by Serbian recording artist Nikolija. It was released on October 20, 2016 by City Records.[7][8] Nikolija initially scheduled the album for 2015, but it was eventually pushed back due to her pregnancy. It includes seven singles since the beginning of her career and three new songs. Musically, the record is overall pop-folk oriented with strong urban pop and club music influences. Lyrically, it deals with the complexities of a romantic relationship and self-assurance.

Background
After graduating from college in Athens, Greece, Nikolija relocated back to Serbia to pursue her music career. She started collaborating with producers and songwriters from Atelje Trag, Marko Peruničić and Nebojša Arežina, on her house rap single "Ćao zdravo" (Bye, Bye), which was released on April 9, 2013. Pop singer Ana Nikolić then offered her to perform guest verses on the lead single "Milion dolara" (Million Dollars) for her fourth album of the same name after hearing Nikolija's rapping demos in Atelje Trag, which she accepted. The collaboration became a hit and it brought Nikolija wider exposure. Same year she also released a self-titled hip-hop song in November, which is recognized as one of the first mainstream rap songs by a female artist in Serbia.
The following year, Nikolija appeared as a contestant on the Serbian version of Dancing with the Stars. She was then featured on the single "Alkohola litar" (Liter of Alcohol) by the pop-rap duo Elitni odredi in August and released solo song "Kako posle mene" (How After Me) in October. These releases marked the departure from her previous work to a more commercial pop-folk sound, which she mixed with urban contemporary music, while also embracing singing rather than just rapping.
In June 2015, she released "Opasna igra" (Dangerous Game) and its accompanying music video, which was declared the most viewed one by a Serbian artist that year.[10] Later that year, Nikolija also announced her debut album and released her first ballad titled "Ljubavni maneken" (Love Mannequin) in October.
In July 2016, Nikolija released yet another promotional single, EDM-infused "Niko kao mi" (No One Like Us). A month after giving birth to her daughter, she released No1 on October 20, which also included three new songs: "Plavo more" (Blue Sea), "Pucaj zbog nas" (Shoot for Us) and "101 propušten poziv" (101 Missed Call).
