Junkermann was one of the shareholders of Infront Sports & Media, a firm that provided sports and media rights management.[7] Junkermann served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Infront, which ultimately sold to Bridgepoint, a private equity firm based in Europe, in 2008.[8]

In April 2015, Junkermann founded private equity firm NJF Capital in London.[12][13] It has a portfolio of 26 companies in the areas of content, media and technology.[14]
