Neoclanis is a genus of moths in the family Sphingidae, containing one species, Neoclanis basalis, which is known from dry bush and woodland from Zimbabwe and Angola to Zambia, Tanzania and eastern Kenya.[2]

The length of the forewings is 30–40 millimetres (1.2–1.6 in) for males and up to 50 millimetres (2.0 in) for females and the wingspan is 70–81 millimetres (2.8–3.2 in). The forewings are very pale greyish green, densely speckled with darker spots. The hindwings are similar, more heavily speckled and with a large red patch at the base. Females are larger, broader winged and more heavily speckled.
