Release

Nenjam Marappathillai was scheduled to release on 30 June 2017, but was postponed indefinitely due to the introduction of GST by Indian government. Also Tamil Nadu state government had not clarified on the application of state entertainment tax.[10] While co-producer Siddharth Rao blamed Gautham Menon for the delay in the film's release, Menon released a press statement in March 2018 saying he was in no way involved with the film "but for listening to the idea and pointing out the script and the film to escape artiste Madan. I'm not producer, neither am I a shareholder. Madan wanted my name on the posters and the film but I'm not on it anymore. It was my initiative, that's all it was and that didn't deserve a name on the poster."[11] More than a year later, in December 2019, Yuvan Shankar Raja said the film would be releasing soon and unveiled a new poster, but no release date was announced.[12] As of August 2020, the film remains unreleased.[13]

gollark: > also I don't care if osdev wiki cripples someone's osdev abilities> because my osdev abilities are fineThis is a somewhat triangular view.
gollark: Solution: make a competing BetterOSDev wiki?
gollark: Or use emacs, which I have been told is a popular OS.
gollark: Why even use an OS? Just write your code on bare metal!
gollark: At least x86 actually HAS standardized booting, unlike certain other architectures beginning with A and ending with RM.
