Narost
Narost [ˈnarɔst] (formerly German Nordhausen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Chojna, within Gryfino County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland, close to the German border.[1] It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south-east of Chojna, 41 km (25 mi) south of Gryfino, and 59 km (37 mi) south of the regional capital Szczecin.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania. After the Balkan Wars, he was promoted to the rank of major general, and continued in service until November 1922, when he went into retirement with the rank of lieutenant general. He died in December 1923.
