Nadarang

"Nadarang" (transl. "Enamored" [or] "Attracted") is the debut single and first published song recorded by Filipino rapper Shanti Dope. The song was written by Shanti and his uncle Lester Vaño (also known as Klumcee). It was released in 2017 by Universal Records as Shanti's debut single and the lead single from his eponymous debut album. The song follows the temptations felt by a person in life and love.[1]

Not to be confused with Indian Marathi film Natarang.

Cover versions

Filipino cover band Agsunta uploaded a video in their YouTube Channel with the band performing Nadarang into their #AgsuntaJamSessions. They performed the song featuring JRoa. As of October 10, 2019, the video has more 54 million views.

On the third season of Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime, eventual grand champion Elaine Duran performed an ethnic pop-rock arrangement of the song during Ang Huling Tapatan (Grand Finals) of the competition. Duran was one of those who arranged and thought of making the song an ethnic and pop-rock.[2][3]

Jelo Acosta sang his own version of the song during his blind auditions when he joined The Voice Teens.

gollark: Governments probably wouldn't unless they're being really experimental for some reason, yes, since unless they make themselves the only issuers they can't muck with the money supply all the time.
gollark: Proof of work is wildly wasteful, proof of stake is just built-in inequality, and I don't know of any saner ways.
gollark: My main problem with cryptocurrencies is the fact that they end up needing to replicate unreasonably large amounts of data everywhere, and allocation of coins is a hard problem without any reasonably good solutions.
gollark: You obviously run into the issue of "what if the key is leaked", though.
gollark: Hypothetically you could have a cryptocurrency where only the government can issue a coin - instead of mining it (proof of work), it would just be digitally signed by a government key.
