Nabeshima Motoshige

Nabeshima Motoshige (November 24, 1602 – December 19, 1654) the eldest son of Nabeshima Katsushige, elder brother of Nabeshima Tadanao, elder uncle of Nabeshima Mitsushige, the Saga feudal lords. Though he was the eldest son of Nabeshima clan, but Tadanao's mother was the daughter of the first Tokugawa Shogunate Ieyasu and his mother was only a peasant woman named Oiwa, he couldn't succeed his father's role. Even his younger brother died, the role Saga Daimyo was succeeded by his nephew Mitsushige, not him. He was an intelligent strategist of the third Tokugawa Shogunate Iemitsu. He was the Ogi Daimyo.
