N. A. Naseer

N. A. Naseer is an Indian wildlife photographer, nature conservation activist and author,[1] who is a member of the Bombay Natural History Society. He was born on 10 June 1962, in Ernakulam district, Kerala State.

Career

Naseer has traveled in the Western Ghats' forests of South India for 40 years. In addition to Leading Malayalam periodicals, he writes on wildlife with photographs, in magazines like the Mathrubhumi Yathra travel magazine, Mathrubhumi weekly Sanctuary Asia, Hornbill,[2] Frontline,[3] Outlook, Traveller, and others. Besides conducting sessions about nature conservation, photography all over South India, he teaches martial arts.[1]

Books

  • Woods and Photographer,[4] which was the first book on wildlife which was written in Naseer's mother tongue, that is Malayalam, and was sold out three months after being published. It has photographs of fauna native to South India.
  • A few portions of the book "Kadine chennu thodumbol" has been included by Kerala's state educational department, the CBSE, and Calicut University, in their syllabuses.
