Eurovision Song Contest

On 15 February 2017, Bárta was confirmed to be the Czech entrant to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.[2] On 21 February, the song was confirmed to be called "My Turn".[3] The song's audio was released on 7 March, while its music video premiered on 13 March.[4][5] It was released as a digital download on 29 March.

Bárta performed "My Turn" in the second half of the first semi-final of Eurovision 2017 held at the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev on the night of 9 May 2017:[6][7] performing in a custom-designed copper-colored foil jumpsuit[8] with four members of the Czech vocal sextet Skety as offstage chorale, while enlarged images from the song's video appeared behind her,[9] Bárta was the fourteenth performer in a field of eighteen. Following the tabulation of votes "My Turn" was ranked 13th for the night and not being among the top ten highest ranked songs was therefore eliminated from Eurovision 2017. The final ranking of "My Turn" at Eurovision 2017 was 33 in a field of 42.[10]
