Overhaul tricks Twice into bringing him to the League of Villains' hideout under the false pretenses of joining the group, revealing his intent of wanting Tomura's group to work for him while explaining his goal to fill the void left by All For One in the criminal underworld. This results in a conflict where Overhaul, supported by a sniper, kills Magne and cripples Mr. Compress before taking his leave while offering Tomura time to reconsider. Meanwhile, Izuku enters Hero-Work Studies, and with help from Mirio, sets off to apply for Sir Nighteye's agency, who was All Might's former sidekick and is investigating Overhaul's criminal activities.

Izuku battles Sir Nighteye to get his stamp and approval to join his agency. Nighteye, using his Quirk Foresight to dodge Izuku, shakes the youth's confidence when he reveals a vision that his Quirk showed him of All Might's eventual death, along with his doubts of Izuku being All Might's successor and a holder of One for All. Though Izuku fails to grab the stamp, he earns enough of Nighteye's respect to join his agency. Some time later, Izuku and Mirio encounter a frightened girl with Overhaul revealing himself to them.

The two heroes are forced to allow Eri to leave with Overhaul to keep their cover, especially when Eri realizes Overhaul was about to kill them. Afterwards, still emotionally stricken by All Might's secret about his originally planned successor, Izuku confronts him to demand the whole truth, which he'll have to accept when it stretches further worse about All Might's past and future.

After being brought to the Shie Hassaikai's lair, Tomura explains he only came to know Overhaul's plans after he removed the bullet that hit Mr. Compress, which caused him to momentarily lose his Quirk. In Esuha City, Eijiro and Tamaki Amajiki, Suneater of UA's Big Three, accompany pro hero Fat Gum on patrol when they confront criminals using both bullets that stop Quirks along with Quirk-enhancement drugs. When Tamaki is shot and his Quirk is temporarily blocked, Eijiro goes beyond his limits to stop the remaining criminal with his new Red Riot Unbreakable technique.

Izuku, Eijiro, Ochaco, Tsuyu learn that Sir Nighteye has organized a massive meeting with the other Hero Work-Studies and numerous pro heroes to discuss the growing threat posed by Overhaul and the Shie Hassaikai. During the meeting, it is revealed that the bullet that shot Tamaki contained the blood and cells of a human whose Quirk is similar to Aizawa's with Nighteye assuming that person to be Eri, much to Izuku and Mirio's horror. Nighteye then proposes having the heroes investigate all known Hassaikai properties to find Eri's location. Meanwhile, Eri cries in bed and thinks about Izuku's warm embracing touch, as she had never felt a hand so kind before and is suffering under Overhaul's watch.

With some intel on layout of the Shie Hassaikai's headquarters and support from the police, the heroes launch a massive raid with Dragoon Hero's group subduing several of the yakuza, while Nighteye and Fat Gum's groups proceed to the lower levels to retrieve Eri from Overhaul.

Meanwhile, Izuku's group struggle against Irinaka's attacks before Himiko and Twice ambush them. While Toga and Twice were previously subjected to Shin Nemoto's Confession Quirk so the Shie Hassaikai could make sure Tomura will not betray them, the two backstab the yakuza on their own accord by taunting Irinaka into exposing himself so the heroes could capture him. Meanwhile, Mirio manages to rescue Eri after fighting his way through Nemoto and his fellow Eight Expendables member Deidoro Sakaki. Overhaul then admits that Eri is not his daughter as he has Nemoto fire one of the completed Quirk-Destroying bullets at the girl to force Mirio to take the hit, losing his Quirk as consequence. But as Mirio refuses to back down, Izuku, Aizawa, and Sir Nighteye arrive from the other side of the wall.

Overhaul's subordinate Hari Kurono removes himself and Aizawa from play, revealing Eri to be the previous Hassaikai boss's granddaughter. Overhaul refuses to accept defeat as he uses his Quirk to assimilate and fuse with Nemoto, transforming into a four-armed monster. Nighteye orders Izuku to take Mirio and Eri to safety while he holds the villain off, but is gravely wounded, while his Quirk shows him a future where Izuku is killed and Overhaul escapes with Eri. But Toga, posing as Izuku, orchestrates the girls into defeating Rikiya in a manner to expose the basement level with Overhaul attempting to escape. But Eri is spurred by the heroes' resolve to free herself by revealing her Quirk to "rewind" people, separating Nemoto from Overhaul while being grabbed by Izuku. Overhaul assimilates Rikiya to go after Izuku and Eri, and though warned that Eri's Quirk would rewind him out of existence if he continues to hold her, Izuku uses One For All Full Cowling at 100% to face the villain. As he does so, Eri's Quirk simultaneously rewinds Izuku's body to the instances before his power breaks his body, thereby allowing him to use One For All at 100% without consequence. With this power, Izuku defeats Overhaul, much to Nighteye's shock, who believes that Izuku has defied the visions of his Quirk, as well as fate.

Aizawa manages to negate Eri's Quirk with Erasure before it kills Izuku as the Shie Hassaikai are arrested. Toga and Twice successfully escape and inform the League of Villains about the Yakuza's location. The League then intercepts the police convoy to Tokadona Villain Hospital to enact their revenge on Overhaul. Tomura and Mr. Compress destroy Overhaul's arms so he can never use his Quirk again while taking the Quirk-Destroying bullets for their own use. gollark: Oh, Go has awful error handling and really hates abstracting things too, that's another difference from JS.
gollark: `x := whatever` just uses the type of `whatever`.
gollark: It has some sort of nice syntax for that.
gollark: I mean, both are garbage collected, but JS compiles to native binaries, Golang is (somewhat...) more strongly typed... can't think of much else.
gollark: Go is pretty different to JS.
