Murder of Zohra Shah
Zohra Shah was an eight-year-old girl who was tortured by her employers Hassan Siddiqui and his wife Umme Kulsoom[1] and subsequently died.[2] She was tortured for freeing her Masters’ expensive parrots mistakenly in Bahria Town Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on 1 June 2020.[3][4] She was from Basti Maso Shah in the Muzaffargarh district of South Punjab about 580 kilometres from the capital, Islamabad.

Murder
Allegedly, Shah was murdered for releasing some valuable parrots from their cages.[5] Evidence such as 'older scars and marks'[6] suggest Shah had been repeatedly abused while working for Siddiqui and Kulsoom, and 'wounds on her thighs' were 'consistent with sexual assault'[7].
Aftermath
Siddiqui and Kulsoom were arrested and put on judicial remand [8].
