Murakami Takeyoshi

Murakami Takeyoshi (村上武吉, 1533 – 1604) was a Japanese samurai and naval commander of the Sengoku period.[1] He was head of the Noshima Murakami pirates.[2][3] Noshima Murakami navy helped the Mōri clan and played an important role during the Battle of Miyajima.[4] Takeyoshi's eldest son Motoyoshi led the Murakami navy to defeat Oda Nobunaga`s navy in the first battle of Kizugawaguchi. Takeyoshi himself, however, was defeated by Kuki Yoshitaka's navy in the second battle of Kizugawaguchi because Kuki's navy used iron ships (Tekkōsen) to repel the arrows and bullets.[2]

gollark: I remember reading about the AI box thing, but I don't know how it's meant to actually work as an experiment, given that the people are presumably aware that the other person is *not* a superintelligent AI and cannot do much to them.
gollark: Or do you mean they wouldn't be *obviously* perversions?
gollark: What? You can totally have "rational" in the sense of "really good at achieving its goals" or something, and still have goals very misaligned with what people want.
gollark: Merry birthday!
gollark: I don't think it would work very well. PDFs are basically just images with text layers or something and a stupidly convoluted format.
