Morley Field Sports Complex

Morley Field Sports Complex is a sports complex in Balboa Park in San Diego, California.[1] The sports complex was named after John Morley, who served as a park superintendent in Balboa Park from 1911 to 1939.[2]

Athletic facilities

Archery

An archery range is located in the sports complex.[3] San Diego Archers runs events at the range.[4]

Baseball/Softball/T-ball

The sports complex offers multi-purpose ballfields, used for baseball, softball and T-ball.[3]

Basketball

Basketball games are held at the sports complex.[2]

Cross country

The Morley Field cross country course is a 1.5-mile/5000 meter cross country course in the Morley Field Sports Complex.[5] The Foot Locker Cross Country Championships are held on the cross country course. The San Diego State Aztecs women's cross country team hosts meets at the course.[6]

Cycling

The San Diego Velodrome is a banked 333-meter (0.2 mile) oval bike-racing track.[3]

Disc golf

A disc golf course is located in the sports complex.[7]

Golf

The Balboa Park Golf Complex contains a public 18-hole golf course and 9-hole executive course.[8]

Lawn Bowling

There are courts for boccie (Italian lawn bowling) and pétanque (French lawn bowling).[3][9][10]

Swimming

The Bud Kearn public swimming pool is located in the sports complex.[11]

Tennis

The Balboa Tennis Club is located in the Morley Field Sports Complex.[3][12]
