Miss Alsace
Miss Alsace, pageant is a long-standing beauty pageant in France which awards prizes to young women contestants from the region of Alsace. The winner is allowed to represent Alsace in the Miss France beauty pageants as well as some international pageants to represent the country. Six Miss Alsaces have been named Miss France:
- Joséphine Ladwig, Miss France 1940.
- Suzanne Angly, Miss France 1969.
- Suzanne Iskandar, Miss France 1985.
- Nathalie Marquay, Miss France 1987.
- Lætitia Bléger, Miss France 2004.
- Delphine Wespiser, Miss France 2012.
History
After the separation between the committee of Miss France and the committee of Miss National, the Miss Alsace committee decided to stay faithful to Genevieve de Fontenay. A new committee was than formed by the committee of Miss France.
