Minatsu Murase

Minatsu Murase (born 23 June 1995) is a Swedish ice hockey player currently with HC Örnen in the Hockeyettan, the men's third-tier league in Sweden.

Career

Murase played her first SDHL in 2012, as a 17 year-old with AIK. The following year, she would win the starting job as the club won the SDHL championship.[1]

Murase missed most of 2018-19 season due to pregnancy.[2] In the summer of 2019, she would leave AIK to sign with Luleå.[3]

In January 2020, Murase announced that she was leaving Luleå.[4] After leaving Luleå, Murase would join HC Örnen in the men's Division 3 as they competed for promotion to Divison 2.[5]

International

She was named Best Goaltender at the 2013 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship, as Sweden won bronze.[6]

She competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics.[7]

Personal Life

She is engaged to New York Rangers' draft pick Robin Kovacs.[8]
