Club career
Thisted FC
Coming through the youth ranks of Thisted FC playing in the Danish 1st Division, he signed a professional contract with the club on his birthday in 2009.[1] Following some impressive displays for Thisted in the 2010/11 season, he went on trials with Danish Superliga clubs AaB and Esbjerg.[2][3] Agger didn't get a contract at AaB, but Esbjerg fB where keen on signing the striker.
Esbjerg fB
On 3 August 2011, Agger signed a 4-year contract with Esbjerg fB.[4]
Agger played his first game for the club only three days after joining the club. He was in the starting lineup against FC Sydvest in a Danish Cup game, but had to leave the pitch after only 30 minutes due to an ankle injury.[5]
After returning from his loan spell at FC Hjørring, Agger became the fourth choice in the attack. Agger said to medias, that he haven't got the chance yet to improve, that he's good enough. On 27 June 2014, his contract got terminated.[6]
Loan to FC Hjørring
In the summer transfermarket 2012, Esbjerg fB loaned Kenneth Fabricius from SønderjyskE and therefore, Agger came in surplus. The half-season loan deal at FC Hjørring was announced on 13 August 2012.[7] He went back to Esbjerg with the hope of more playing time and said to medias, that he could feel a personal development.
Loan to AC Horsens
Agger was loaned out once again. This time to AC Horsens on a season-long loan deal in September 2013.[8] His time at the club wasn't positive, as he only scored one league goal for the club.
Return to Thisted FC
A month after leaving Esbjerg fB, Agger signed a two-year deal with his former club Thisted FC.[9] He was impressed by the playtime he got in his new club. He scored 25 league goals in his first season, making him the most scoring player in the squad that season. After this successful season, Agger aroused interest from foreign clubs as German club FC St. Pauli.[10] But Agger wanted to stay in Thisted, and extended his contract in May 2016 until 2018.[11]
Viborg FF
On 31 January 2019, Viborg FF announced the signing of Agger from Norwegian club Sarpsborg 08 FF.[12]
