Mexrrissey

Mexrrissey is a Mexican band co-founded by Camilo Lara (Mexican Institute of Sound) and Sergio Mendoza (Calexico, Orquesta Mendoza).[1] Inspired by Morrissey and The Smiths' songs, Camilo and Sergio along with: Ceci Bastida, Jay de la Cueva, Alejandro Flores, Chetes and Ricardo Nájera began this musical project in 2015.[2][3] Their album, "No Manchester" (2016) contains Morrissey songs translated into Spanish with a mix of Latin beats and sounds added to the music. After their first show in Mexico City, the band began with a UK tour in April 2015.[4] After their first tour in the UK they have since gone back and have also been on other tours through the US and Australia. Future shows will be happening in October and November 2017 through the US and Argentina.[5] During the spring of 2018, Mexrrissey will do a tour through the UK called "La Reina Is Dead".

gollark: Why do they need that? No idea. Can anyone get rid of that power? Probably not.
gollark: UK surveillance law gives some random government food regulation agency power to look at internet history data or something like that.
gollark: Fortunately, that doesn't matter because they don't mean anything and can just be ignored arbitrarily by judges.
gollark: Contracts for some things say "we can arbitrarily rewrite this and you can't do anything about it muahahaha", and despite those being really apious you have to agree to those too.
gollark: It sort of holds together, but not in an elegant, consistent or comprehensible way.
