Melva, Missouri
Melva is an extinct town in southern Taney County, in the Ozarks of southwest Missouri. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place.[1] The site was located south of Hollister on the east bank of Turkey Creek along the Missouri Pacific Railroad line.[2]
A post office called Melva was established in 1906, and remained in operation until 1931.[3] A railroad official gave the community the name of his daughter.[4]
