McLaren Young Driver Programme
The McLaren Young Driver Programme, formerly known as McLaren Driver Development Programme, McLaren Mercedes Young Driver Support Programme, and McLaren Honda Young Driver Programme, is a driver development program operated by McLaren. It has been designed to offer year-by-year guidance, assistance and endorsement to help promising young racers to climb the motorsport ladder.

The highlight of the programme is Lewis Hamilton, who was part of the programme since his karting days and graduated to the McLaren F1 team and has subsequently won the Formula One drivers’ championship 6 times between 2008 and 2019.

gollark: You can only really say something is "rational" as a way to achieve some goals, not just objectively "rational" on its own. So arguably humans are somewhat rationally maximizing short-term happiness. *But*, isn't happiness at least partly just a heuristic for decision-making *too*?
