Markiny
Markiny [marˈkʲinɨ] (German: Markienen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bartoszyce, within Bartoszyce County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1]

Geography
It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-west of Bartoszyce and 58 km (36 mi) north of the regional capital Olsztyn.
History
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
