Mark Du Plessis
Mark Du Plessis (born 3 October 1975, in Zimbabwe) is a horse racing jockey. He was champion apprentice jockey in Zimbabwe in 1994/1995 and the winner of Zimbabwe senior jockeys' championship in 1997/1998.
Starting riding in the late 1990s in the North Island, he has ridden winners of 24 Group One races in New Zealand and more than 1500 winners overall.
Du Plessis also rode in Singapore.[1] and he rode 60 winners in each of the last two seasons during brief stints in Hong Kong.[2]
In 2018 Mark moved to Australia to continue his career.[3]
