Mario Lisson
Mario Lisson Ortega (born May 31, 1984 in Caracas, Miranda State, Venezuela) is a former professional baseball shortstop and current Manager for the GCL Nationals. He was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Kansas City Royals on April 1, 2002.

Career
Lisson has played for the Class AAA Omaha Royals, and most recently with the Class AA Northwest Arkansas Naturals. He also has played in the Venezuelan Winter League with the team Leones del Caracas. Lisson was traded in 2010 to the team Navegantes del Magallanes and he has been a very important piece in the last years for this organization, in fact he has reached the first places in a few of offensive stats.
On January 25, 2010, Lisson was designated for assignment by the Royals to make room on the roster for Rick Ankiel.
On January 7, 2014, Lisson playing for the Magallanes tied a mark in the Venezuelan League with three home runs in a postseason game. He then spent the 2014 MILB season with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the San Francisco Giants' AA affiliate, where was the team's regular third baseman. He batted .266 with 18 home runs and 76 runs batted in. After that, he signed with the Washington Nationals on a minor league contract in December 2014.[1]
Coaching career
Lisson was named manager of the GCL Nationals for the 2018 season.
