Manifesto (1988 film)

Manifesto is a 1988 American comedy drama film directed by Dušan Makavejev and starring Camilla Søeberg, Alfred Molina and Simon Callow.[1] It is based on the novella Pour une nuit d'amour by Émile Zola. The screenplay concerns an attempt by revolutionaries to assassinate an autocratic central European monarch.

Plot summary

In the 1920s an autocratic central European monarch plans a visit to a small town where revolutionaries plan to assassinate him.

Cast

gollark: Bell Labs wanted to make better amplifiers, and physics™ implied that semiconductor things of some sort would allow this, so after some cycles of testing and improving theories they got basic transistors.
gollark: Transistors were invented circa 1950 as a replacement for vacuum tubes.
