Luigi Carlo Borromeo

Luigi Carlo Borromeo (October 26, 1893 – July 4, 1975) was the Italian Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pesaro from his appointment by Pope Pius XII on December 28, 1952, until his death on July 4, 1975.

Biography

Born in Graffignana[1] in 1893, Borromeo was ordained a Catholic priest on March 20, 1918. He was appointed Auxiliary bishop of Lodi on November 4, 1951 and was ordained titular Bishop of Choma on Dec 2, 1951.

He was appointed bishop of Pesaro[2] on December 28, 1952. He was council father during the four sessions of Second Vatican Council, and in Pesaro, in 1971, he consecrated the new parish dedicated to St. Charles Borromeo.[3]

Bishop Luigi Carlo Borromeo died on July 4, 1975, at the age of 81.
