"Love at First Sight" is the third single released from Edge of the Century by Styx. To date, it is the last Styx single to hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at #25 the week of June 15, 1991. The song also fared moderately well on the Adult Contemporary chart, peaking at No. 13. It also reached No. 20 on the Canada RPM Top Singles chart the week of June 22, 1991.

"Love at First Sight" was the only one of the album's three singles to have been written in collaboration between Dennis DeYoung and Glen Burtnik, as well as James "J.Y." Young. As with the band's prior single, "Show Me the Way", the ballad features lead vocals by DeYoung.
